Manage Your Videos in Media Center

Category: Media CenterLast updated: 9/2/2026

Each video tile shows a status badge per connected marketplace, so you can see at a glance which channels are ready and which need attention. If you try to delete a video that's still attached to a product or a marketplace listing, Indexync blocks it and shows you exactly where it's used, so a listing never loses its video out from under it.

Applies to

All plans. You'll want at least one video already uploaded; see Upload a Product Video if you haven't yet.

Finding your videos

Click Media Center in the sidebar, then click the Videos tab. Folders are shared between images and videos, so a folder can hold both. The same search box, sort options, and date/usage filters that work for images work identically for videos; see Manage Your Images for the full walk-through.

What do the marketplace status badges mean?

Every video tile shows a compact badge per connected marketplace. There are five possible states:

StateWhat it means
Ready badgeThe video is live on that marketplace.
Processing badgeThat marketplace is working on it right now; no action needed.
Failed badgeThat marketplace tried and couldn't process the file. Click Retry to try again.
Pending badge with Process buttonNothing has been attempted for that marketplace yet. Click Process to start it.
Not compatible badgeYour file doesn't meet that marketplace's requirements, so it was never attempted.

Pending and Failed look similar (both show an X-style icon) but mean different things: Pending just hasn't started, while Failed already tried and didn't succeed. The button next to each badge tells them apart: Process for Pending, Retry for Failed.

Example: a video tile shows "Pending" badges with Process buttons for Shopee and Lazada, and a green "Ready" badge for Shopify. Nothing has failed here; Shopee and Lazada just haven't been asked to process the file yet. Click Process on each to start them.

Retrying a failed channel or starting one that's never run

Click a video tile's collapsed badge summary (it reads something like "1 failed" or "2 not processed") to open the per-channel panel. Each row shows one marketplace's current state.

  • On a Failed row, click Retry to reprocess that channel only, without re-uploading the whole video.
  • On a Pending row, click Process to start that channel for the first time.

For Lazada specifically, if a channel has been sitting at Processing for a while, a Check Status button appears on that row. Click it to pull the latest status directly from Lazada; this helps when Lazada hasn't updated on its own in a while.

Example: your video's Lazada badge shows "Failed" with a Retry button. Its TikTok badge shows "Pending" with a Process button instead, because TikTok was never attempted in the first place; there's nothing to retry there yet, only to start.

Renaming, viewing details, and deleting a single video

Hover a video tile and click the three-dot menu in the corner:

  • View details: opens the Video Preview window with a player, filename, {size} • {type} • {dimensions} • {duration}, and a list of every product and listing using the video. You can also open this by clicking the play icon on the tile directly.
  • Rename: change the filename. The extension is locked.
  • Move to: move the video into a folder. See Create and Organize Folders.
  • Delete: see below.

Why can't I delete this video?

Click Delete. If the video isn't used anywhere, you get a confirmation ("Are you sure you want to delete this video? This action cannot be undone.") with Cancel and Delete buttons, and it's removed.

If the video is attached to a product or a marketplace listing, Indexync won't let you delete it. The window changes to Cannot Delete and lists every product and listing using it, with each marketplace listing nested under its product. Remove the video from those first, then come back and delete it.

Delete confirmation modal in the blocked "Cannot Delete" state, listing the products and listings using the video

Example: you try to delete walkthrough-tshirt.mp4 and Indexync blocks it, listing "Woodfield Classic Tee" with a Shopify listing underneath. Open the product, replace the video there, then come back and delete it from Media Center; it goes through.

Bulk-moving and bulk-deleting videos

Tick the checkbox on each tile to select it, or click one, then Shift-click another to select a range. Once at least one video is selected, an action bar appears at the bottom with Select all in page (N), Select everything (N), Move to, and Delete: the same bar and the same behavior Manage Your Images describes in full.

Bulk delete is subject to the same block as a single delete: if any selected video is still in use, the whole action is blocked and Indexync lists what's using each one.

How much storage do I have?

The Storage panel in the left sidebar shows your usage against your plan's limit. Going over it doesn't stop you from working; see Upload Images for the full explanation.

Troubleshooting

Three-dot menu doesn't appear when I hover

Hover directly over the video thumbnail, not the filename below it. On touch devices, tap and hold to reveal the menu.

Video won't play in Video Preview

Check the badge states on the tile first: a video can't play on a marketplace until that channel's badge reads Ready, but Video Preview plays your original upload regardless of any marketplace's status. If the file plays elsewhere but not here, try a different browser; some video formats aren't supported everywhere.

A marketplace badge has been sitting at Processing for a long time

Click the collapsed badge summary on the tile to open the per-channel panel. For Lazada, click Check Status if it's available to pull the latest update. For other marketplaces, wait a little longer; if the status moves to Failed, use Retry.

FAQ

Why can't I delete this video?

It's still attached to at least one product or marketplace listing. Indexync blocks the delete and lists exactly what's using it under Cannot Delete; remove those references first, then delete it.

Why does one marketplace badge say "Pending" and another say "Processing"?

Pending means that marketplace hasn't been attempted yet; click Process to start it. Processing means it's actively working right now; no action is needed, just wait.

What's the difference between Retry and Process?

Retry appears on a Failed channel, meaning an attempt already happened and didn't succeed. Process appears on a Pending channel, meaning nothing has been attempted for that marketplace yet.

Can I delete several videos at once?

Yes. Select multiple tiles and click Delete in the bottom action bar. The same in-use block applies: if any selected video is still attached anywhere, the whole action is blocked until you clear the references.

What happens if I go over my storage limit?

Nothing stops working. You'll see an upgrade banner in the Storage panel, but uploads, deletes, and every other Media Center action keep functioning normally.
