How Do I Edit, End, or Delete a Promotion?
The Promotions page lists every promotion you have created. From there you can search or filter for one, view its details, edit it before it goes live, end it early, or delete it. What you can do depends on the promotion's current status, and every action reports back store by store, so one shop having a problem never blocks or hides the rest.
Applies to: Pro and Scale.
Before you start
- Creating a promotion, and saving an edit to one, needs Pro or Scale.
- On Free and Lite, including after a downgrade, you can still view, end early, or delete an existing promotion. Only creating and editing are blocked, so a live promotion is never stuck on your account.

The Promotions page at a glance
The page has two tabs, each with a count next to its name.
- Active Promotions: drafts, scheduled, and ongoing promotions, plus a search box, a Filter button, and sort toggles (Name, Start Date, End Date, Last Updated).
- Expired / Deleted: promotions that ended or that you deleted. No search box, no Filter button, no Actions column. Always sorted by last updated, newest first.
Rows group under a collapsible status header with a count: Ongoing, Scheduled, Draft on the active tab; Expired, Deleted on the other.
What the Stores column tells you. Every row lists one line per shop reached, not one per marketplace: two Shopee shops on the same promotion show as two lines, each with its own name, region, and counts. Those counts are SKUs, not products: 3 products with 2 SKUs each shows 6, not 3.
Finding a specific promotion
Type into the search box (placeholder: Search promotions...) on the Active Promotions tab. It matches the promotion's name or ID and narrows the list as you type.
To narrow further, click Filter. The panel has, in order:
- Status: Draft, Scheduled, Ongoing, Expired.
- Marketplaces: Shopee, Lazada, TikTok, Shopify.
- Stores: every connected shop, grouped under its marketplace, each with its icon, nickname, and region. This is a separate, more specific narrowing on top of the Marketplaces filter: tick Shopee under Marketplaces to include every Shopee shop, or go one level further under Stores and tick just one of your two Shopee shops.
- Date Range: a start/end picker plus quick presets (Today, This Week, This Month, Last 3 Months).
Tick what you need and click Apply Filters. A badge on Filter counts active filter groups, and chips under the toolbar show what's applied. To clear, use Reset beside the Filter button or Clear All Filters inside the panel.
Example: you run five promotions last month and want the "Summer Sale 20% Off" one. On the Active Promotions tab, type "summer" into the search box and the list narrows as you type. To narrow by shop instead, click Filter and tick just that store under Stores.

Viewing promotion details
Click any promotion row to open the read-only View Promotion window. It shows:
- Promotion Timeline: start date, end date, duration, and a description if one exists.
- Products and SKUs counts.
- Store status: one entry per shop reached, with name, region, and Synced, Not Synced, or Error counts (No stores synced if nothing has synced yet).
- Products & SKUs: a price grid with one column per shop, plus Expand All / Collapse All.
There is no edit button here. Use Close, then the pencil icon on the row.

Editing a draft or scheduled promotion
Draft and Scheduled promotions can be edited; Ongoing ones cannot.
Click the pencil icon to open Edit Promotion. Every field is open, with three limits:
- A shop already published cannot be removed. Its card shows a lock and the tooltip Published stores cannot be removed.
- A Scheduled promotion's start and end dates still have to clear the usual checks. A changed start date needs to be at least 1 hour from now; an unchanged start date only needs to still be in the future. The run has to stay between 1 hour and 180 days.
- The discount type locks while a sync is running, shown as Discount Type Locked. Otherwise, changing it clears every product's discount value, which you re-enter.
If a Scheduled promotion goes live before you click, the editor won't open. You see Promotion is Now Live instead, telling you what you can still do: end it early, or view how it's performing.
On a Scheduled promotion, click Update Promotion to save. On a Draft, Save Draft keeps the change without publishing it, and Go Live on N stores publishes it.
Example: your "Mid-Year Clearance" promotion is scheduled to start tomorrow. This morning you notice the wrong discount type is selected. You open Edit Promotion, switch Percentage Off to Fixed Amount Off, and confirm the warning that this clears every product's discount value. You re-enter the amounts and click Update Promotion.
Ending a promotion early
End early appears only on Ongoing rows, as a red trash icon tooltipped End Promotion Early. It opens a dialog warning that prices return to original immediately, listing each affected shop with its SKU count. Click End Early to confirm, or Cancel. Indexync then works through each shop and reports a result for it.
Shopee's 1-hour rule. Shopee requires a promotion to run at least 1 hour before it can be ended, checked across every Shopee shop on it. If any one of them has been live less than an hour, End Early is held back for the whole promotion, not just that shop, and a Marketplace Restriction message tells you when you can end it.
Example: a promotion goes live on two Shopee shops and one Lazada shop, and minutes later you spot a wrong discount. The trash icon shows Marketplace Restriction, naming Shopee's 1-hour rule and the exact time you can end it. Until then, the whole promotion keeps running, Lazada included.

Deleting a promotion
Delete appears only on Draft and Scheduled rows, as a red trash icon tooltipped Delete Promotion. Ongoing, Expired, and Deleted promotions have none; use End Early on an Ongoing one.
The dialog is titled Delete Draft Promotion or Delete Scheduled Promotion and explains the outcome: a promotion that never synced anywhere is simply removed; one that reached shops has those shops' discounts removed; a Scheduled promotion is also unscheduled first. Click Delete Now to confirm, or Cancel.
Example: you created a Draft promotion last week and want it gone. Click the trash icon on the row and confirm with Delete Now. It moves to the Expired / Deleted tab. If it had already been Scheduled, the same icon cancels it before it goes live.
When a store fails and the others succeed
Ending early or deleting only completes once every shop confirms. If one shop fails while others succeed, the promotion isn't hidden or marked done: it stays in your list, and Indexync names which shop succeeded, which failed, and why.
One shop failing never blocks the rest. A Retry N failed stores button resends only the failed shops, and if a retry fails again you can try once more. The promotion stays visible until every shop succeeds.
Example: you end a promotion running on three stores. Two report "Ended, prices restored" and the third reports a failure. The promotion stays Ongoing in your list. Click "Retry 1 failed store." Only that shop is sent again, and once it succeeds the promotion moves to Expired.
Action availability
FAQ
Can I edit a promotion that's already live?
No. Once a promotion reaches Ongoing, editing is off; you can view it or end it early. If you open a promotion just as it goes live, Indexync shows "Promotion is Now Live" instead of the editor and tells you what's still available.
What happens if I delete a promotion that's already synced to a marketplace?
Any shop it reached has its discount removed as part of the delete. A promotion that never made it to any shop is simply removed with nothing to undo on the marketplace side.
Why can't I end this promotion early yet?
Most likely Shopee's 1-hour rule: Shopee needs a promotion to run for at least an hour before it can be ended, checked across every Shopee shop on it. The trash icon shows a Marketplace Restriction message with the exact time you can end it.
What does "N stores skipped" or a failed store mean here?
A store gets skipped automatically at save time if none of your chosen products are listed on it; the rest of the promotion still goes live. A failed store is different: it's one that didn't confirm an edit, an end-early, or a delete. It stays visible and retryable with the Retry N failed stores button instead of disappearing.
Do Free and Lite sellers lose access to existing promotions?
No. On Free or Lite, including after a downgrade, you can still view, end early, or delete a promotion you already have. Only creating a new one, or saving an edit, needs Pro or Scale.
