Expand Your Existing Products to a New Marketplace

Category: Products & ListingsLast updated: 02/09/2026

To sell products you already have on Indexync in a new marketplace, connect the store, then pick which products to publish there. Indexync creates the new listings from the product details you already entered. It suggests each product's category on the new marketplace and pre-fills the required attributes, so most fields arrive ready for you to approve. Expanding your catalog takes less than an hour instead of relisting every product by hand. For many products at once, a guided wizard checks everything against the new marketplace's requirements and lets you fix any gaps in bulk before anything goes live.

Applies to: All plans. The guided wizard (Bulk Create Listings) needs the Lite plan or higher; Quick Sync and the Edit Product window work on every plan, including Free.

Before You Start

Pick the method that fits

Indexync gives you three ways to push existing products to a new marketplace. Pick the one that matches how many products and how many stores you're working with.

Your goalUse
Publish many products to one new storeBulk Create Listings (the guided wizard)
Publish one product to one new storeQuick Sync
Publish one product to several new stores at onceEdit Product window

For every new listing, Indexync starts from your master values: the product details set on the Master Product tab (name, description, images, dimensions, attributes). You can keep these for the new store, or override them on the store's tab if it needs something different.

Publish many products to one new store (Bulk Create Listings)

This is the fastest way to enter a new marketplace with an existing catalog. Instead of relisting each product by hand, a guided 4-step wizard walks your whole selection through the same checks a marketplace would run, and lets you fix anything it flags for many products at once instead of one at a time.

Example: you've just connected TikTok Shop and want to publish all your laptop accessories to it in one go.

Bulk Create Listings needs the Lite plan or higher. On Free, use Quick Sync or the Edit Product window below instead; both cover the same ground for one product at a time.

Products page with the Bulk Actions menu open, showing the Expand to marketplaces item

Step 1: Select Store

On the Products page, open Bulk Actions and choose Expand to marketplaces. Pick the store you're creating listings on, then click Continue.

Step 2: Select Products

Search or filter your catalog (by channel, status, or category) to narrow the list, then tick the products you want to publish. Only ticked products carry into the next step, so you can expand your whole catalog or just a handful of products.

Click Continue once you've made your selection.

Step 3: Review & Fix

This is the step that does the heavy lifting. Before you fix anything by hand, Indexync has already checked every selected product against the new marketplace's requirements and filled in what it can.

What Indexync fills in for you. Three things get matched automatically:

  • The marketplace category. Every marketplace has its own category tree, and the category decides which fields are required. Indexync matches it from the listing you already have and marks the result with a Suggested label.
  • The attributes. Once a category is picked, Indexync fills in the marketplace's required attributes for you from what it already knows about your product, so you're not answering the same questions again for every new channel. Every filled field gets a coloured outline and the line "Auto-filled from your source listing", so you can tell at a glance what came from you and what came from Indexync.
  • The brand. Each marketplace keeps its own brand registry, so the brand is carried across separately and gets the same auto-filled treatment.

Mandatory fields Indexync could not fill are marked "Please add this." in amber; nothing is silently left half-done. When Indexync isn't confident, it leaves the field blank rather than filling it with a guess. A wrong attribute would mean a rejected listing.

Example: your laptop stand is live on Shopee and you're expanding it to TikTok Shop. Indexync suggests the TikTok category, then fills Material, Warranty Type and Brand from what you already answered on Shopee. Only Country of Origin is left, marked "Please add this."

This pass runs across every product before Review & Fix opens, which is why the step usually opens with most products already Ready. A meter at the top tells you when you're done: "{X} of {Y} products ready to sync." You don't need to visit every product to clear it; you need every product to reach Ready.

Fixing in bulk vs product by product. Review & Fix has two tabs above the product list, each showing how many products still need it:

  • Fix in bulk holds anything Indexync can answer for a whole group of products at once, like a missing brand or a shared attribute, so one answer applies to every product that needs it.
  • Product by product is the same list you'd expect: search it, filter it by All, Action required, Ready, or Blocked, pick one, and fix what's flagged on the right.

Review and Fix step on the Fix in bulk tab, showing the readiness meter, both tab counts, the Brand card and an attribute suggestion card

Example: you send 40 laptop accessories to your TikTok Shop store. 31 come back needing a brand. Instead of opening 31 products one by one, the Fix in bulk tab shows one card: "31 products need a brand." You pick a brand once, and Indexync writes it to all 31.

Once Fix in bulk has appeared for a run, it stays there for the rest of your session, even after you clear every card in it. Answering everything doesn't pull the tab out from under you.

Product by product tab with the All, Action required, Ready and Blocked filters and a selected product's fixes on the right

The brand card. If several products come back needing a brand, one card lets you pick a brand once and apply it to every product that needs it. There are two different reasons a brand gets rejected, and they need two different fixes:

  • The wrong brand was picked. Choosing again fixes it.
  • Your store isn't approved to sell that brand at all. Choosing a different brand only helps if it's one you're actually approved to sell, or you get approval in Seller Center first. Picking another brand you're not approved for fails the same way, and burns another whole sync finding that out.

Fixing images in bulk. A card at the top of both tabs tells you when your products have photos the marketplace will reject, and offers to fix them for you: it resizes, pads, and converts images so they pass. Your originals stay saved either way. If you stop a run partway through, the fixes already made are kept, so running it again just continues.

The image auto-fix card after assessment, showing the product count headline and the Auto-fix button

Example: 18 of your products have variation photos smaller than TikTok Shop's minimum size. The card reads "18 products have images the marketplace will reject." You click Auto-fix, Indexync enlarges them, and all 18 sync with their photos intact.

Auto-fix is the fast option. List without variation images is still there as a fallback for whatever auto-fix genuinely can't repair: publish now with no variation photos, add better ones later, and sync again to restore them.

Anything left over after the bulk pass genuinely needs your eyes on one product at a time; that's what Product by product is for.

Step 4: Sync

Once every product reaches Ready, click Sync Products, confirm the count in the dialog, and Indexync creates the listings on the store.

Sync step showing a mix of Success and Failed rows, with one failed row carrying the TikTok weight-cap error message

When the run finishes, the new listings appear on the Products page with the new store icon filled in. Any row that failed shows its own error message, and you can retry just the failed products without re-running the whole batch.

Publish one product to one new store (Quick Sync)

Quick Sync helps when you only need to add one product to one new store, and your master values are already correct for that store.

Example: you've just connected Shopee and want your product (already on Lazada) to also be published to Shopee.

Steps:

  1. On the Products page, find the product's channel label for the store you haven't published to yet (look for the green + badge; the icon is dimmed only when nothing is listed on that channel yet). Click it. If more than one store on that channel is eligible, pick the one you want first. The "Sync to [Store]" window opens.
  2. (Optional) Expand the top section to preview your master values. They are used by default unless you customise them in the store-specific section below.
  3. Pick the marketplace category. Indexync suggests one from the listing you already have, marked with a Suggested label. Once a category is set, the required fields appear.
  4. Fill in what's left. Fields Indexync carried over from your existing listing show a coloured outline and "Auto-filled from your source listing"; anything it couldn't fill is marked "Please add this."
  5. Click Sync to [Store]. Indexync creates the listing on the marketplace.

If a variation's photo can't be used (too small, or its dimensions can't be read), Indexync blocks the sync and names the affected variation instead of sending an incomplete listing. Replace that photo with a larger one and try again, or click List without variation images to publish now with no variation photos; add better photos and sync again later to restore them. Quick Sync's fix list can also auto-fix images for you, the same resize, pad, and convert repair the wizard uses above. If an image genuinely can't be repaired, Indexync tells you so and points you to Media Centre to replace it.

When the sync finishes, the channel label's listed count goes up by one, and the green + badge clears once every connected store on that channel is synced.

Publish one product to several new stores (Edit Product window)

Use this when one product needs to land on multiple new stores in one go.

Example: you've connected both Shopee and Shopify and want your product published on both.

Steps:

  1. On the Products page, click the edit (pencil) icon next to the product. The Edit Product window opens.
  2. In the Listings panel, select every store you want to publish to. Each newly selected store adds its own tab.
  3. For each new store tab, pick the marketplace category and fill the required fields (e.g., Brand) and shipping options. Master values are pre-filled by default; override only if you want a different name, description, or images on that specific store.
  4. Click Update Product. Indexync shows a Confirm Changes summary listing what will be created.
  5. Click Confirm & Sync. Indexync publishes to every selected store at the same time. Stores with no changes are skipped.

When the run finishes, the Listings panel shows every selected store as Published.

What gets pushed, and what stays in sync afterward

For every new listing, Indexync uses your master values (name, description, images, attributes, dimensions) by default. You can override any of them per store, either while creating the listing or later from the product page.

Expanding to a new marketplace does not touch your existing listings on other stores; it only creates the new one. Inventory across linked stores stays in sync automatically once the new listing exists: a sale on any store debits the same shared stock.

Troubleshooting

Store not visible in the wizard

Check that the store is connected in Settings → Connections. If it shows as expired, reconnect via the connect button for that marketplace.

Required fields missing

Each marketplace has its own required fields (category, brand, attributes, etc.) and the set varies by listing category. In Bulk Create, fix the flagged products in Review & Fix before continuing. In Quick Sync or the Edit Product window, open the store's tab, fill the required fields, then retry.

TikTok Shop rejects a product for its weight

TikTok Shop refuses any package weight above 100 kg, or a lower weight if your own courier has a tighter limit, and there's no override. The error names whichever limit actually applies, for example Package weight 400kg is above the maximum of 100kg for TikTok. Clicking the error takes you straight to that listing's TikTok Weight field so you can fix it there.

Some products fail in a bulk run

Note the error message on the failed rows. Common causes:

  • Marketplace category rejected the product.
  • Prohibited keywords in the title.
  • A variation photo can't be used. Lazada, Shopee, and TikTok Shop all require either every variation to have a picture or none at all, so a photo that's too small (or unreadable) blocks that product. Use the bulk image auto-fix, replace the named photo, or use List without variation images to publish without variation photos for now. (If every variation's photo fails at once, Indexync publishes the listing with no variation photos rather than blocking it; this is allowed on all three marketplaces.)

Fix the affected products, then re-run Bulk Create with only the failed products selected.

FAQ

Can I copy my Shopify catalog to Shopee?

Yes. Connect Shopee under Settings → Connections, then use Bulk Create Listings to select the Shopify-sourced products in your Indexync catalog and publish them to Shopee in one run. You don't need to re-enter product details; Indexync builds the new listings from what you already have.

Do I have to re-enter product details for a new marketplace?

No. Indexync starts every new listing from your master product values (name, description, images, dimensions, attributes) and auto-fills the category, attributes, and brand it can match from your existing listings. You only fill in what it couldn't confidently match.

What if products don't meet the new marketplace's requirements?

The Review & Fix step in Bulk Create Listings checks every selected product against the new marketplace's requirements before anything goes live, and flags exactly what's missing. Anything shared across several products, like a missing brand, can be fixed once and applied in bulk instead of product by product.

Can I expand only part of my catalog?

Yes. The Select Products step in Bulk Create Listings lets you search and filter your catalog, then tick only the products you want to publish. Quick Sync and the Edit Product window are already one-product-at-a-time by design.

Does expanding affect my existing listings?

No. Creating a listing on a new marketplace doesn't change your listings on any other store. Once the new listing exists, its stock stays synced with your other connected stores automatically, the same as any other linked listing.
