Import Your Existing Products from Shopee, Lazada, TikTok Shop and Shopify
Connect a marketplace in Settings → Connections and Indexync automatically fetches your existing products, no separate import step required. If the same product is sold on more than one of your stores, Indexync proposes matching them into one product with one shared stock count, so you never build a master SKU or map products between channels by hand. Review what it found on the Import page and approve it: this is Auto Import, the way almost every seller brings their catalog into Indexync.
Applies to: All plans.
Before you start:
- At least one marketplace connected in Settings → Connections. See Connecting Your Marketplaces.
- Active products on the marketplace you want to import from.
How Auto Import works
The moment you connect a store, Indexync starts fetching its products in the background. A banner confirms the connection, with a link straight to the Import page.

If your product is sold on more than one store, Indexync proposes combining them into one so you don't get duplicates. Update it once, and stock stays in sync everywhere you sell it.

- Connect a store. From Settings → Connections, or from the "Choose what to import" step of onboarding if you're setting up Indexync for the first time; both use the same import surface.
- Indexync fetches your products. This runs in the background and usually finishes within a minute or two.
- Open the Import page. Click Import in the sidebar, or the banner's Check the Import page → link. Your fetched products are waiting for you, already sorted and, where the same product exists on more than one store, already matched or flagged for your review.
- Review and approve. Everything is pre-selected; untick anything you don't want and resolve anything flagged (see below), then approve.

Example: you connect My Shopee SG. The banner appears on the Connections page, and by the time you open the Import page your products are fetched, grouped, and pre-selected. You untick two discontinued items, accept the one suggested match, and click Approve. Your catalog is in Indexync and every product is ready to sync.
Automatic product and variation matching
Indexync matches the same product across your stores for you, down to each individual variation, and proposes the result for a one-click approve. Auto matching and suggestions do most of the mapping work you'd otherwise do by hand.
- Products matched and proposed for you. The same product on Shopify, Lazada, Shopee or TikTok Shop is suggested as one Indexync product with a combined master, ready to accept.
- Variations paired SKU by SKU. Options with the same value on both stores are paired automatically ("S" and "s" count as the same; case and stray spaces don't matter), so sizes and colors line up across stores on their own.
- A combined master built for you. Indexync assembles the master product from your matched listings; you review and approve instead of creating one from scratch.
When Indexync isn't confident about a product or a variation pairing, it doesn't guess: those wait for you on the Review and Unmatched tabs, covered below.
You can see the matching for yourself: on a Suggested Match card, click View SKU mapping to open the SKU-level pairing table. An "All SKUs matched" label means every variation paired cleanly; the same table lets you fix a pairing before you approve, covered next.

Reviewing what Indexync found
The Import page sorts your fetched products into tabs so you can jump straight to whatever needs a decision. A tab only appears when it has something in it.
Resolving suggested matches
On the Review tab, each Suggested Match card shows two listings Indexync thinks are the same product, for you to decide on.
- Check your SKU mapping before you approve. Click View SKU mapping to confirm the variation options paired the way you expect; an "All SKUs matched" label means everything paired cleanly.
- Accept merges the two listings into one product. Reject keeps them separate, and Indexync won't suggest that pairing again.
- Confident about several at once? Tick their checkboxes and click "Accept {N} selected" to merge them all together.
- Left checked but undecided at Approve time? The suggestion is accepted automatically, unless the merge can't be confirmed, in which case the import is refused rather than run as a silent partial import.
If you match two listings wrongly, delete the wrong marketplace's listing from the merged product and re-import or match it correctly by hand: see Manage Your Product Listings.
Matching a product yourself
If Auto Import didn't find a match for a listing, or you rejected a suggested one, it lands on the Unmatched tab as its own product. Click Match on that row to open the same matching window manual import uses: pick another store's listing to combine it with, or add it to an existing matched group.
Choosing which marketplace supplies the details
When the same product comes from more than one store, Indexync has to decide which store's quantity and variations win. The Default Source Priority card sets that order.
- Set the order. Expand the card and drag a store to the top to make it the Main Product Information Source; a missing detail falls back to the next store down.
- Ranked by store, not marketplace. Two stores on the same marketplace each get their own row.
- Shopify quantity comes from the connected location, not the total across every location; a product only stocked at a different location still imports, at a quantity of 0.
- Collapsed by default. The card only appears when two or more connected stores have products on the page.

Resolving blocked products
If any product can't be imported as-is, a Blocked tab appears with a count of how many items need attention. Blocked rows have a disabled checkbox and can't be selected for approval.
Once everything is resolved and the Blocked tab is empty, the page snaps back to a populated tab automatically.
What happens when you approve
Click "Approve {N} →" in the fixed bar once everything's ticked the way you want.
- Undecided suggestions don't slip through silently. If any suggestions are still checked but undecided, the bar says so before you commit.
- Import runs like a manual import. Success and failure show per product, then you land on the Products page with a confirmation. Orders on the imported channels start syncing at the same time.
- Master values are set from the import. Name, description, images, dimensions and attributes are stored on the Master Product tab of the Edit Product editor. Syncs to every connected store start from these, and you can override any field per store without changing the master. Per-store listings live on the Listings page.
- Re-fetch anytime. Each store in the Import Summary shows a Re-fetch link and a timestamp like "Last fetched 3h ago." Click it to pull that store's latest listings; if the list is empty, Fetch all re-fetches every connected store at once.
Prefer to pick products yourself?
Auto Import only shows products new to Indexync and currently active on the marketplace; it skips anything already imported, sold-out, archived, or inactive. For those, or for full control over which channels and products to pull, open Import in the sidebar and click Import Manually. See Manually Import Products: Choose Your Stores, Statuses and Products for the full walkthrough.
Troubleshooting
The banner or the Import page never shows my new store's products
Give the background fetch a minute or two; large catalogs take longer. If the page is still empty, confirm in Settings → Connections that the store shows as connected, then use Re-fetch on that store from the Import page.
A product I expected doesn't show up on the Import page
Auto Import only imports products that are new to Indexync and currently active on the marketplace. Check, in order:
- Is it on the Blocked tab? A listing collision, duplicate SKUs, too many variation attributes, or an unresolved bundle is stopping it from importing as-is. See Resolving blocked products above.
- Is it already in Indexync under a different status? If you already imported it, or a draft or inactive version exists, Auto Import won't show it again.
- Is it inactive on the marketplace? Sold-out, archived, and other inactive listings are skipped for Shopee, TikTok Shop, and Shopify. Lazada is the exception: sold-out Lazada listings are fetched too. Click "Don't see your product?" on the Import page to confirm.
A status issue (not a Blocked-tab one) means manual import is what you need: it pulls in archived, sold-out, and already-imported products on purpose. See Manually Import Products: Choose Your Stores, Statuses and Products.
A listing I expected to match with another store didn't
Keep your seller SKU identical for the same product on every store; small differences are the most common cause:
- Trailing spaces on one store's seller SKU
- Case differences (
SKU-001vssku-001)
Still not matching? Check the Review tab, or click Match on its row in the Unmatched tab to pair it by hand. See Matching a product yourself above.
I rejected a suggestion by mistake
Click Undo on the message right after rejecting to bring the card back. Once the message is gone, Indexync remembers the rejection and won't re-suggest that pairing; match the two listings by hand instead, from either product's page once imported.
FAQ
Why do imported products need my review?
Indexync is confident enough about some pairings to match them automatically, but not all of them. Reviewing the uncertain ones first stops the wrong two listings merging by mistake, and stops the same item importing twice as two separate products.
Do imported products overwrite my Indexync data?
Only if you re-import a product that already exists, and only its store-specific fields (price, description, images, attributes) for that store. Indexync is always the priority source for products you already have, so your master name, description, and images stay as you set them.
Where does starting stock come from?
Whichever store the Default Source Priority order puts first for that product, standardised across every connected store in the group. See How Inventory Sync Works Across Marketplaces for how that count is kept in sync afterward.
Can I import from two stores on the same marketplace?
Yes. Each connected store, not each marketplace, is treated separately, so two Shopee stores (one per country, say) each get their own place in your import and their own row in source priority.
When should I use manual import instead of Auto Import?
When you want products Auto Import skips (archived, sold-out, already imported) or full control over stores and products. See Manually Import Products: Choose Your Stores, Statuses and Products.
