How to Upgrade Your Plan
To upgrade your Indexync plan, open Settings > Billing, click Manage Subscription, select the higher plan, and confirm. The upgrade applies immediately: your new SKU, order, and store limits are available right away, and you're charged only for the days left in your current billing cycle.
Applies to: All Indexync users on FREE, LITE, or PRO.
How to Upgrade Your Plan
- Open Settings from the sidebar and click the Billing tab.
- Click Manage Subscription near the bottom of the tab.
- In the modal that opens, review your current plan and usage. If you also want to switch to annual billing, use the toggle in the top-right corner. Its "Save 2 months" label shows the discount.
- Click the row for the plan you want to move to. A detail panel opens on the right showing what changes:
- Limits going up for that plan, each marked with a plus icon.
- A per-day price note under the plan's monthly price (list price, never a discounted figure).
- A promo or referral code box, collapsed by default (click Add a code to expand it).
- Click Upgrade.
- On the confirmation screen, review the amount due today and click Upgrade Now for SGD {amount} to finish.
Your new plan is active as soon as you confirm.
What You're Charged When Upgrading Mid-Cycle
Upgrading partway through your billing cycle charges you the price difference between your old and new plan for the days remaining in that cycle, not a full month at the new rate. The confirmation screen shows the exact amount before you confirm. Your next full charge lands on your existing billing date, not a new one.
Example: Alex is on PRO at SGD 39 a month, mid-cycle, and has used 1,480 of 1,500 SKUs. Alex opens Manage Subscription, selects SCALE, and confirms. With about 15 days left in the cycle, the charge shown is the SCALE-minus-PRO difference for those 15 days. The SKU limit jumps to 7,000 right away, so Alex can add products immediately. The next full SGD 99 charge lands on the existing billing date.
Free Months Awarded and Your Next Billing Date
If you've been awarded free months (from a promotion or a support credit), they push out your next billing date instead of issuing a refund. Your Billing tab keeps a history of every award.
Free months already applied stay applied: upgrading does not reopen or undo a past award. Only the new upgrade charge is added on top.
Example: Alex received a free month from a support credit that already shifted an earlier billing date. Upgrading today doesn't touch that past adjustment: only the prorated upgrade charge applies now, and the Billing tab's next billing date is unaffected.
After Upgrading: Orders Marked Limit Exceeded
If you went over your monthly order limit on your old plan, those orders arrived but were marked Limit Exceeded. You could see them but not ship, cancel, or refund them.
Upgrading unlocks them for you automatically, in the background. There's no button to click and no progress bar; it just runs.
- Oldest orders unlock first, up to your new plan's monthly limit. Anything beyond that stays locked and does not unlock later on its own.
- Check your stock afterwards. Unlocking doesn't go back and pull the stock those orders sold off your other marketplaces, so your counts may read higher than what's really on the shelf.
Example: Alex was on LITE with 20 orders already synced against the 150-order cap; the next 12 orders arrived marked Limit Exceeded. After upgrading to PRO (1,000 orders a month), those 12 unlock in the background over the following minutes, oldest first, and show their normal status once done.
If You Bill Through Shopify
If you signed up through the Shopify App Store, your subscription is billed through Shopify, and a few things differ:
- The confirm button reads "Continue to Shopify" instead of showing an amount; Shopify calculates and collects the charge on its own approval page.
- Referral codes aren't available. Promo codes still work; the code field simply reads "Promo code" instead of "Promo or referral code".
- Charges appear on your Shopify invoice, not a separate Indexync one.
Troubleshooting
The upgrade didn't go through and I see a payment error. Check that your payment method on file is valid. See Payment Methods and Troubleshooting for how to update your card or retry the charge.
My SKU or order count looks the same after upgrading. Your new limits are active immediately, but the usage numbers on screen can take a moment to catch up. See Viewing and Troubleshooting Plan Usage for how to refresh them.
I upgraded but my orders still show Limit Exceeded. Unlocking runs in the background and can take a few minutes. If they're still locked after that, contact support.
FAQ
Does upgrading take effect immediately?
Yes. As soon as you confirm the upgrade, your new SKU, order, and store limits are available, and any orders that were unlockable start clearing in the background.
What am I charged when I upgrade partway through my billing cycle?
You pay the price difference between your old and new plan for the days remaining in your current cycle. The exact amount is shown on the confirmation screen before you confirm. Your next full charge lands on your existing billing date.
Will my Limit Exceeded orders automatically unlock?
Orders that were blocked by your old plan's order limit unlock automatically after you upgrade, oldest first, up to your new plan's monthly limit. Anything past that limit stays locked.
Can I use a promo code when I upgrade?
Yes, if you're billed through Indexync directly. Click Add a code in the plan detail panel before confirming. Promo codes aren't available for accounts billed through Shopify.
What happens to my billing date if I have free months awarded?
Free months already applied to your account aren't affected by an upgrade. Only the new upgrade charge is added; your next billing date stays where the free months already put it.
