Update Stock Quantities - individually or in bulk
To change stock for one SKU, click its edit pencil on the Inventory page and use the Stock Allocation window. To change stock for many SKUs at once, click Bulk Update, then download a spreadsheet template. Fill in new quantities and upload it. Both paths write the new numbers to Indexync and, if auto-sync is on, push them straight to your connected marketplaces.
Applies to: Updating a single SKU is available on every plan. Bulk Update needs the Lite plan or higher; it isn't available on Free.
Updating one SKU: the Stock Allocation window
On the Inventory page, click the edit pencil icon on any SKU row. The Stock Allocation window opens for that SKU.
For products with variations, expand the product first by clicking the arrow to the left of the product name. Click the pencil icon on the specific variation (size, colour, or any other option) you want to edit. Each variation is its own SKU with its own window.

The window shows three numbers near the top:
- Total (editable): your full stock count for this SKU. Change this when stock arrives or needs correcting.
- Safety Stock (editable): a buffer held back from what marketplaces see. If Total is 67 and Safety Stock is 5, marketplaces see 62.
- Available (not editable): Total minus Safety Stock. This is the quantity each marketplace listing actually shows.
Edit Total to adjust your stock, and edit Safety Stock to change your buffer. Then click Save. If Total is lower than Safety Stock, the window shows a warning and blocks saving until you increase Total or reduce Safety Stock.
Shared mode: one number for every marketplace
With Shared selected (the default), your Available quantity flows to every connected marketplace as the same number, drawn from one pool. Use this when you have one stock location and don't need to protect stock for specific channels.
Allocated mode: split stock across stores
Toggle to Allocated to split your Total across stores. A field appears for each connected store, grouped by marketplace. The window shows a running total (allocated so far vs. your Available stock) and won't let you save until every unit is assigned.
Use Allocated mode to protect one channel from being sold out by another, or to assign stock from a specific delivery to a particular marketplace.

A sub-toggle lets you enter values as Quantities (literal units) or Percentages (share of Available); switch between them any time and the window converts automatically, using rounding that always adds back up to your Available total.
Example: split 100 units 60% to Shopee, 30% to Lazada, 10% to TikTok Shop. Switch to Percentages, enter 60 / 30 / 10, and Indexync converts these to units automatically.
If a SKU shares linked stock, the Allocated tile is disabled and shows SKU is linked in red: linked SKUs always stay in Shared mode.
Linked and bundle SKUs
If a SKU is part of a Link Stock rule, its stock lives on the group's base SKU:
- Opening the window for a base SKU disables the Allocated tile (SKU is linked, in red). To split stock per store, delete the rule first.
- A linked member has no edit pencil; its row is read-only and shows the base SKU's stock worked out to that member's units per pack. Edit the base SKU instead, and every member recalculates automatically.
A bundle SKU can't be edited directly either, since its stock comes from its component SKUs. Edit the components' stock to change how much of it is available.
See Can I Share One Stock Pool Across Pack Sizes or Bundle SKUs? for how Link Stock and bundle rules work.
Initial stock at product creation
The Stock field on a new product's master tab sets its initial stock only. After creation, all stock edits happen through the Stock Allocation window.
Updating many SKUs at once: Bulk Update
For updating dozens or hundreds of SKUs in one pass, use Bulk Update instead of editing each SKU individually. It's available on the Lite plan and above.
On the Inventory page, click Bulk Update in the action bar. The Bulk Update Inventory window opens.
Click Download Template (CSV), and it downloads a spreadsheet with the columns you need and two example rows. Accepted uploads are .csv, .xlsx, and .xls. Open the template in Excel, Google Sheets, or any spreadsheet tool. Replace the example rows with your own Seller SKUs and quantities, then save.
For a SKU in Shared mode, only Total Quantity matters; the per-store columns are ignored. Set Total Quantity to the new total you want available everywhere.
For a SKU in Allocated mode, fill in a quantity for every store that is currently active for that SKU; the sum can't exceed Total Quantity minus Safety Stock. Leaving one of those store columns blank rejects the whole row ("Missing store quantities"), and an over-allocated sum rejects it too ("Allocation exceeds available").
Choose your file, then click Choose File & Preview. Indexync shows an Upload Summary: how many rows it read, how many SKUs will actually update, and a table of anything it couldn't apply.

Uploaded values replace existing inventory; they don't add to or subtract from what's already there.
Common reasons a row is rejected
Once you've reviewed the summary, click Confirm & Update to apply the change. The update runs in the background. You'll see a message that it's processing, and stock will sync to marketplaces within a few minutes. Refresh the Inventory page to see the new numbers.
Each SKU gets a history entry once its update lands; open the History panel on that row from the Inventory page to check a specific SKU. If a SKU shows a warning icon afterward, its sync to one or more marketplaces failed. See Why Doesn't My Stock Match Between Indexync and My Marketplace? for how to resolve sync errors.
What happens after you save
If auto-sync is on, Indexync pushes the new Available value to each connected marketplace, usually within a few minutes. If auto-sync is off, your edit stays inside Indexync until you trigger Sync to Channels from the Inventory page action bar. You can control auto-sync behaviour in Inventory Settings.
Troubleshooting
I can't save because of a warning about Safety Stock. Total can't be lower than Safety Stock. Increase Total or reduce Safety Stock, then save again.
The Allocated tile is greyed out and says "SKU is linked." This SKU shares stock with a base SKU through a Link Stock rule. Edit the base SKU instead, or delete the rule first if this SKU needs its own per-store split.
Fewer SKUs changed than I expected after a Bulk Update. Check the Upload Summary table: every row with an issue (a blank or invalid Total Quantity, a duplicate or unrecognised SKU, a missing store column) is listed there with what to fix.
A SKU shows a warning icon after my update. The stock saved in Indexync, but pushing it to one or more marketplaces failed. See Why Doesn't My Stock Match Between Indexync and My Marketplace?.
FAQ
How do I change stock for just one SKU?
Click the edit pencil on that SKU's row on the Inventory page. This opens the Stock Allocation window, where you can change Total and Safety Stock and save.
How do I update many SKUs at once?
Click Bulk Update on the Inventory page and download the template. Fill in your new quantities and upload the file. This needs the Lite plan or higher.
Why can't I edit a linked SKU's stock?
A linked member's stock comes entirely from its base SKU. Edit the base SKU instead; every linked member recalculates automatically from it.
Does editing stock here push to my marketplaces?
Yes, if auto-sync is on. Indexync pushes the updated Available quantity to every connected marketplace. If auto-sync is off, trigger Sync to Channels from the Inventory page to push manually.
Can I set different stock per store?
Yes, using Allocated mode in the Stock Allocation window, or the per-store columns in a Bulk Update file. Both let you assign a specific quantity to each connected store instead of sharing one pool.
